Internet services and websites

 

     
          Nowadays, internet became our basic necessities due to the demand of internet in education, works and daily communications. There are a few internet services that we use everyday without knowing the details of each of them. Firstly, world wide web (WWW) which is a world wide connection of electronic documents (webpages) and is not a real-time type of internet service. E-mail, the transmission of messages and files via computer network, not a real-time type of internet service. Instant messaging, a real-time type of internet service and defined as a real-time typed conversation with another connected user where you also can exchange photos, videos and other content. VoIP which is a conversation that take place over the internet using a telephone connected to a computer, mobile device or other device and is a real time typed internet service. Message Board, a not real-time typed internet service and is defined as an online area in which users have discussions about a particular subject. Lastly, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), an internet standard that permits file uploading and downloading with other computers on the internet and is a real time type of Internet service.

         Also there are many types of website. Portal is a website that offers variety of internet services from single, convenient location. Blog is an informal website consisting of time-stamped articles or posts in a diary or journal format, usually listed in reverse chronological order. Wiki, a type of website that allows users to create, add to, modify, or delete the website content via a browser. Online Social Network, a website encourages members in its online community to share their interests, ideas, stories, photos, music and videos with other registered user. Lastly, business, a website contains content that promotes or sells products or services.

           As conclusions, Internet service and website are quite similar to one another that both of them require Internet connections to be accessed. After that, websites and Internet services are created for an easier  sharing of information between humans through Internet.
